cfcjobanalysisA job analysis is used to identify the tasks of a job and the knowledge, skills and abilities it takes to perform the job successfully.  The job analysis will serve as the foundation for developing and validating job descriptions, selection exams, performance evaluations, promotional exams and most other human resources products.

Fields has conducted thorough job analyses for all ranks in public safety, so our consultants are armed with a good foundation when coming to study similar positions in your department.  We analyze all ranks in fire, police and sheriff departments including, but not limited to, paygrade advance ranks (e.g., PO I, PO II, FF I, FF II, DS I, DS II), investigator ranks, first-line supervisory ranks, mid-management ranks, senior management and leadership positions including Chief, Director and various specialty positions.
